Shiri Maimon Biography
Shiri Maimon (Hebrew שירי מימון; * May 17, 1981 in Haifa, Israel) is an Israeli singer, with the first squadron of Israeli pop idol Kochav Nolad occupied the second place. With her song Hasheket Shenish'ar (השקט שנשאר) occupied by 154 points to fourth place in the finals of the Eurovision Song Contest 2005.
Biography
Shiri Maimon was born in Haifa and grew up in Qiryat Chaim on. As early as ten years took them to a children's festival. 2001, the first time in a music video of the group Teapacks ( "Ilu hait") on. Later she went to Eilat and worked there as a waitress and singer.
2003 they occupied the second place in the first season of the Israeli version of Pop Idol Kochav Nolad and became famous overnight. On 2 March 2005 she took on Israel in the Eurovision Song Contest, the Kdam-Eurovision with the song Hasheket shenish'ar ( "The silence behind the ') part. She won with 116 points and thus qualified for participation in the Eurovision Song Contest 2005 in Kiev, where they first had to compete in the semifinals.
In the semifinal of the Eurovision Song Contest, she was seventh, fourth in the finals by 154 points, which came just 12 points from Monaco.
In September 2005, Shiri Maimon their same debut album, which within a few months received gold status.
Since March 2006 Shiri plays in the Israeli soap "Yeladot Ra'ot" the role of the talented singer Maya Gold.
Shiri also currently working in London on her first English album.
