Masi Oka (b. Tokyo, Japan, 27 December 1974) is an actor and artist of digital effects. He lives in the United States since the age of 6. He speaks English, Japanese and Spanish, has a BS in Computer Science, Mathematics in a chair and a degree in theater. It has an IQ of 180 (gifted intellectual depth).
It works in the company Industrial Light & Magic, owned by George Lucas, as a programmer for special effects, working on films like Star Wars, Pirates of the Caribbean or the perfect storm. He is an expert in kendo, plays the piano and has a clan in the World of Warcraft.
During 2007,
Masi Oka worked two days a week as a programmer and the rest as an actor in the series Heroes doing the role of Hiro Nakamura. Previously participated in the series Scrubs, in which a small role towards dermatologist. According to an interview in Wired, enjoys both jobs because one helps you develop your skills to solve problems and the other to develop their artistic talent.
He participated in the program Punk'd they did to singer Akon.
He worked in the film by Peter Segal, The super 86 (2008), interpreting Bruce, one of the technical control of the organization, responsible for inventing technological gadgets that serve in its task of espionage, agents and the same great friend of Maxwell Smart.
