Lisa Edelstein Biography
Lisa Edelstein (* 21 May 1967 in Boston) is an American actress.
Biography and Career
She grew up as a child of a Jewish couple Alvin and Bonnie Edelstein in Boston, Massachusetts, and studied theater at New York University. During the study also began her career as an actress. Her first movie role she had in Oliver Stone's The Doors (1991). After many productions on Broadway and others wrote and played in the musical Positive Me at Ellen Stuart's La Mama in Manhattan. Positive Me was one of the first musicals, which is auseinandersetzte with AIDS.
First experience in television, she collected as moderator of the show Awake on the Wild Side. Then she played in several television series a wide range of roles. Some examples are a precious prostitutes in The West Wing, a transsexual in Ally McBeal, an artist in sexbesessene Frasier and an Orthodox Jewish woman, with the backing of her family loses in Family Law. Also in the sitcom Seinfeld, she had some appearances. They still played in Practice - The lawyers for the girlfriend of James Spader.
Currently she plays Dr. Lisa Cuddy in the series Dr. House.
