Hugh Laurie Biography
James Hugh Calum Laurie, OBE, (* 11 June, 1959 in Oxford) is a British actor, writer and musician.
Life and achievements
Biography
Laurie grew up in Oxford. After completing his schooling at Eton College, he participated in the University of Cambridge studying at Selwyn College (degree in anthropology). During his studies he joined the Cambridge Footlights, a theater of the university, which has for many British actor and entertainer the starting point for a successful career represented. From 1980 to 1981 Laurie headed the group.

Artistic career

From 1986 to 1995 formed Hugh Laurie and Stephen Fry in the BBC sketch series A Bit of Fry and Laurie a successful comedy duo. For the four squadrons of this series, in a total of 26 episodes was aired, Laurie also wrote the screenplays.
