Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Aishwarya Bachchan (maiden name Aishwarya Rai; Tulu: ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯಾ ರೈ debate: [ɛʃ v ə rj ɑ ː r ɑ ː j], * November 1, 1973 in Mangalore, Karnataka) is an Indian actress. She won the Miss World-1994, and worked very successfully as a model. In addition, she is a professional Bharatanatyam dancer.

Aishwarya Rai was in Mangalore as a subsidiary of Krishnaraj Rai, a marine biologist, and Vrinda Rai, a writer, was born. She has an older brother, Aditya Rai, an engineer in the Merchant Marine and co-producer of her film Dil Ka Rishta (2003).

After her birth her parents moved to Mumbai. There they first visited the Arya Vidya Mandir High School in Santa Cruz, a year after the Jai Hind University in Church Gate, then Ruparel University in Matunga studies with the goal architect.

During her studies she began, alongside as a model to work. 1994, on competition for the Miss India and was second behind Sushmita Sen. Then she took the Miss World competition, and won this title and the title of Miss Photogenic. Then they interrupted their studies and spent the following year as the reigning Miss World in London. Now she started, modelling professionally. Soon afterwards came the breakthrough into acting.

She speaks several languages: Tulu, Hindi, English, Tamil and Marathi.

Since 20 April 2007, Aishwarya Rai with Abhishek Bachchan married, the film might have its partners.

Aishwarya was for many Indian fashion magazines scanned, including the Indian Vogue. It is advertising internationally for L'Oreal Paris, De Beers diamonds, Coca-Cola, and Longines watches. It is the most successful Indian model.

The interest of the public due to their Miss World title, she was an actress. Her debut was Mani Ratnams Tamil film Iruvar (1997), which has been a success by critics.
